Widespread Use of ChatGPT and Other Artificial Intelligence Tools Among Medical Students in Uganda: A Cross-Sectional Study

Cross-sectional survey of 564 medical students at four Ugandan public universities. 93% had heard of AI tools and 75.7% had used them, with ChatGPT dominant at 72.2%. Younger students adopt at significantly higher rates; tool use spans academic and non-academic purposes.
