The Impact Mechanism of Artificial Intelligence Dependence on College Students' Innovation Capability: An Empirical Study From China
Zhixin Yang, Hao Deng, Nan Jiang
Survey of 1,032 Chinese college students with cognitive rigidity/flexibility as mediator. Cognitive dependence on AI (β = 0.570) has a stronger negative effect on innovation than tool dependence; employment pressure amplifies the harm and cognitive flexibility is essential to all beneficial configurations. Supports the "generate first, think later" interpretation of AI overuse.
